Jet Financial Services offers two legal plans to assist customers should the need arise.
What are they?
These plans offer legal assistance that covers work-related issues, civil matters and criminal proceedings.
Should you have legal cover?
Yes, if you can’t afford to hire a lawyer privately.
The two plans offered by Jet Financial Services are the Silver and Gold plans. Both cover assistance with civil, criminal, labour law and ID-theft related issues.
With the Silver Plan, customers enjoy 50 00000 worth of benefits for 3900 per month, and with the Gold Plan, the cover is 100 00000 for a monthly premium of 5900.
Jet customers who apply and are accepted on these plans also receive a number of other benefits, including:
- Cash-back benefit: for every claim-free 24 months, where the premiums have been fully paid up for those 24 months, the policy holder will receive two months’ premiums in the form of Edcon vouchers.
- 24-hour service: policy holders are able to get telephonic legal advice, any hour of the day, in any of the official languages, from admitted attorneys.
- Wills: Jet Legal Services provides a template for drawing up wills and will assist policy holders in completing this template.

Excess
An excess of 10000 is payable if a legal service provider who is not a member of the panel of legal service providers is consulted, and is payable with the first consultation. An excess of 25000 is payable in the event of an ID theft claim.
Waiting period
A waiting period of three months applies. However, the policy holder will be able to obtain advice telephonically and/or have a 30-minute consultation during the three-month waiting period.
Note:
There are two plans to choose from – the Gold and the Silver Plan. It’s important that you choose the plan that suits your needs.Only the insured member, his/her partner and his/her dependent children will be covered. There is no cover for extended family and no discounts apply.
